First round of the 21 Day fix


My first round of the 21 day fix is complete! In this first round I lost 11 pounds, 3 inches off each thigh, three inches off my waist and an inch off each arm. I will admit I did not give this program 100% I didn't follow the nutrition plan as close as I should have and I didn't always make my work outs. So just think about my results could have been if I had gave it my all!

I am doing another round of this program not only because I want to see what the results will be when I try harder but I love how it makes me feel. I can feel my arms and legs getting stronger. My back is no longer in pain and I feel more amazing every day. I have been trying harder at eating the right things and finding alternatives to when I have a craving for something sweet. I just want to say Vegan chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter on top is my new favorite treat lol. I also helps that all the ingredients are all natural and organic, so I don’t feel as guilty when I give in.

Since I started working out in October last year (2013) I have lost 41 pounds 9.5 inches off my waist, 4 inches off my bust, 8 inches off of my hips, 3 inches off each arm and 5 inches off each thigh. That’s a total of 29.5 inches! I have dropped 3 dress sizes and find things that I wore when I was 18 fit even better than they did then.

And some of my non scale victories since I started working out in October are:
No more back pain
Sleeping
More energy
Depression is almost gone
PTSD in almost gone
I don’t get winded going up a flight of stairs
I can play with my son
I fit into a size 18
I can pick my son up easily
I have amazing confidence


I am loving this new me and I cannot wait to keep going! I have a goal to fit into a pair of shorts that are a size 16 by June I have no Idea if I will but I am sure going to try and If I get to June and they still don’t fit me, It doesn't matter I am still going to keep going because of how I feel not what size I am!

Working out from home

I love working out, it boosts my energy and my mood but I absolutely hate gyms. I’ve had memberships before and I use to love to go work out in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep. However, my workouts were always the same. I would jog on the treadmill for about twenty minutes, ride the bike for another twenty minutes and then I would play with the machines not really knowing what I was doing. I always left feeling like I didn’t really get a work out.

I first started working out at home in October of 2013. At first I was skeptical because all of the work out programs that I had done at home didn’t really do anything for me. I got bored or I felt like it wasn’t a good workout. But then I met Turbo Fire. It is one of the most amazing programs that I have ever done. I had sweat dripping off of me, I was out of breath, my muscles burned and I felt absolutely amazing! After ninety days I lost 30 pounds.

It’s not just the program that makes me feel awesome, it’s the fact that when I work out at home, I don’t care what I look like, I can grunt, sweat, moan, scream, swear or look absolutely ridiculous while I am learning the moves and no one is there to judge me or make me feel weak.

I am currently using the 21 day fix, The first round has been rocky. I will admit I haven’t been doing so hot when it comes to my nutrition but I love the work outs. So I am going to be doing another round of the 21 day fix and see if I can get even better results! So far on this round I have lost 5 pounds, an inch off my waist and two inches off each thigh, and it’s not even the full 21 days. I will find out on Sunday what my total loss was and I can’t wait.

So, here’s to no more gyms, no more workouts that feel like I haven’t accomplished anything and no more feeling like I can’t.

Sunday Yoga!

SO me and Liam did a little Yoga video to show off how much fun we have doing our mommy and me yoga. I feel like I look awful while we did this but I am still going to post it because I wanted to share that it is fun. Even if you feel ridiculous it doesn't matter because your kids will have fun. They don't care what you look like while your playing with them as long as you are playing. 

I want Liam to grow up loving exercise and good food. I want to teach him the healthy way to live so he doesn't have to deal with the struggles that I have. So in my journey to a healthier life I plan to teach him what I learn and hope it sticks lol.

Shakeology!!

Hoo-ray!!! I got my Shakeology today! Seriously the best day ever! I can't wait to start feeling better!!! Now I can blog about other things lol! Like the 21 day fix (<- Click to watch an awesome video about it!) that is coming out on the 3rd!! I am planning on getting it ASAP! I cant wait to try it out!

I haven't been able to do much with being sick but as soon as I am a little bit better I am getting back to it and pushing myself as hard as I can. SO expect an after picture in April!

Day 11

So! yesterday and today my friend/coach gave me Shakeology! I slept better last night and I feel so much better today! I should be getting my Shakeology next week and I can not wait! I have noticed my mood improving as well. I am more positive, and motivated. I am hoping to at least do some yoga with my son tomorrow. its a light workout but its something!

Day 8, 9, & 10

So apparently I don't know how to count and I am failing at posting! Tuesday I worked late and slept until I had to go in, Wednesday was an insane crazy day, so I am catching up today. I am still sick and I havent been able to work out bleh!  My Shakeology order went through yesterday and I cant wait to get it! I am really hoping to kick this cold soon so I can start working out again. I have been oh so lazy and I haven't been eating well at all. So I am going to get my ass in gear and try a bit harder.
